Mr. Christopher K. Long
Chief Executive Officer
Chris is the founder and CEO of The Seva Group. He has thirty years of experience in the field of Information Technology. An early pioneer of Information Technology’s explosive growth during this time, Chris anticipates technology trends when helping organizations meet their business needs through the development and implementation of unique technology solutions. Prior to establishing The Seva Group in 1998, Chris held senior IT leadership positions at highly regarded businesses in the Mid-Atlantic region, including T. Rowe Price, USF&G and Barton Cotton. His knowledge and experience lend a first-hand perspective to Seva’s clients and helps them overcome their business challenges against an ever-changing technical landscape. Spanning decades of Information Technology change, Chris’ career includes progressive project management and application development experience across multiple platforms. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Baltimore and enjoys world travel and spending time with his family.
Mr. Karl Walinskas
Director of Business Development
Karl has more than two decades of experience helping companies develop technical solutions for business problems. A degreed Mechanical Engineer from the University of Maryland, he began his career at IBM and then turned his energies toward smaller companies, including startups, where he initially became a management consultant to small manufacturing firms. In that role, he worked on technology projects such as ERP system selections and implementations, Activity Based Costing systems and Internet Marketing. Since 1993, he has served as Director, Vice President, and Chief Operating Officer with various companies with responsibilities ranging from Sales to Engineering to Operations to Supply Chain Management and all points in between. He has provided consultation to businesses ranging in total sales of $1 million to $88 million, primarily B2B and predominantly engaged in manufacturing either consumer products or systems and equipment. This diversity of business experience, both vertically in industry and horizontally across function, gives Karl a global view of how business operates. When working with prospective Seva clients to diagnose tactical and strategic business challenges, he excels in his ability to identify sensible and appropriate technology solutions. When not visiting clients in the Mid-Atlantic region, Karl lives on the beautiful Eastern Shore of Maryland with his wife and son, and can be found boating, waterskiing, or simply enjoying being a Dad.
Mr. Brian Bailey
Director of Solutions Engineering
Brian has over twenty years of senior leadership experience in Information Technology. He has been a member of The Seva Group since 1999. Prior to joining Seva, he led numerous large-scale technology initiatives at Fortune 500 companies while employed by Accenture and Perspective Technology Corporation (a Modis International company). Brian manages Seva’s Northern Virginia office and heads all client activity in the Washington metropolitan area. With deep experience working with Non-Profit clients, he also directs our Non-Profits business. Brian has extensive experience in project management, application development, web development, database modeling and design, system architecture, performance tuning and overall IT management. He is an IT visionary and expert in the field. Brian earned his bachelor’s degree with distinction from the University of Virginia and enjoys playing soccer, traveling and spending time with his family.
Ms. Lisa Nugent
Director of Human Resources and Office Operations
Lisa has twenty years of experience in Human Resources and Organization Development. She has been with The Seva Group since 1999. Prior to joining the firm, she was a manager in Accenture’s Change Management practice and facilitated team development for the NCR Corporation. At Seva, Lisa provides strategic human resource planning to position the company as an employer of choice. She directs all HR operations in accordance with the policies and practices of the firm. Additionally, she oversees the financial administration function at Seva. Lisa earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Penn State and a Master in International Business Studies degree from the University of South Carolina. She enjoys serving in the community, exploring other cultures, reading with friends and having fun with her family.
Mr. William Ambrose
Vice President, Eximer Technology Staffing Services
Bill is Vice President of Eximer Technology Staffing Services – a division of The Seva Group. He has over twenty-five years of experience in Information Technology with a special focus on IT recruiting and staffing. Prior to joining Seva, he held numerous senior leadership positions at top professional services firms, including Systems Alliance, Mind Over Machines, RDA Corporation and CapGemini. Bill leads Seva’s staffing division, which provides technical recruitment and quality permanent placement, temp-to-perm and contractual staffing services to the Mid-Atlantic region. He attended the University of Baltimore and majored in Business Management. Bill enjoys touring the United States on his Harley Davidson.
