Included on the Web site is a calculator that provides the difference between the SDR (standard drawing rights) and a variety of currency types.  The rate calculator is a line graph that plots daily deviations from the prior month’s settlement SDR rate. The graph met many of CIBERNET’s needs, but it was developed  in a technology not consistent with CIBERNET’s core competencies, and was not flexible for future enhancements. Solution Seva provided full life cycle services to deliver a new calculator for CIBERNET’s Web site. The new calculator automatically imported the rates from the IMF site eliminating the need to enter the rates by hand. Email alerts were created to notify CIBERNET employees when an SDR rate deviated +/- 5% from the previous month’s rate. This allowed CIBERNET employees to manage the rates more easily. A graphing tool, PopChart, was integrated to display the graph. This resulted in a flexible and scalable interface for CIBERNET’s Web site.
